Angie Becerra, DC
Dr. Angie Becerra-duMenil is Taproot’s Founder and Clinic Director. Her path to chiropractic started in her early twenties, when she faced a series of health challenges and felt increasingly frustrated with the traditional medical approach she was experiencing. Instead of getting real answers, she often felt like her symptoms were being covered up with medications—only to end up with more side effects.
That experience is what led her to a Doctor of Chiropractic. Through chiropractic care and other natural, supportive methods, she was able to get off her medications and return to a normal, active, healthy life.
Dr. Angie graduated with her doctorate from Parker University where she focused her studies to best serve families and athletes. She also holds bachelor degrees in Anatomy and Physiology and Health and Wellness. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is Webster Technique, Dry Needling, and Bioenergetic Testing Certified. Dr. Angie is knowledgeable in soft tissue techniques, dry needling, cupping, infant and adult cranial adjusting, and functional taping that are beneficial to athletes (both young and young at heart), babies, pregnant women, and people with repetitive stress injuries. She is licensed in both Texas and Colorado.
Because of her personal journey, Dr. Angie believes it’s incredibly important to network with and stay connected to the local medical community. She’s passionate about building respectful relationships across healthcare professions, so patients can feel supported from every angle—not stuck choosing one path or provider.
Dr. Angie practices part time but is frequently in the office when she is not seeing patients. When she's not seeing patients, Dr. Angie runs Taproot, trains doctors, and implements new wellness services into the practice. Dr. Angie is also in the process of creating a nonprofit to help improve access to chiropractic and wellness care in our area. She also coaches other wellness-based practices with an independent company.
In her free time, Dr. Angie enjoys running, working out, fishing, kayaking, and watching sports with her family.

Hannah Cork, DC
Dr. Hannah Cork is an Associate Chiropractor at Taproot and is originally from the UK. It was while working as front desk staff for a chiropractor in a multidisciplinary clinic that her passion for holistic healthcare was ignited. She was inspired and encouraged by the lead clinician to go and train as a chiropractor herself. This lead to a 10 year working relationship in which they served their local community together as friends and colleagues.
Dr. Hannah graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire, UK and practiced in wellness clinics in the English countryside on the edge of the Cotswolds. She is knowledgeable in functional taping, laser therapy and soft tissue techniques. Dr. Hannah is also certified in Epley Maneuver used for dizziness and vertigo and Dry Needling.
Dr. Hannah enjoys seeing all types of patients, but her passion lies in helping those with hypermobility and connective tissue disorders. Her primary method of adjusting is the McTimoney technique, a gentle whole body approach popular with all types of patients but especially lending itself to those who may be a little more sensitive. She has taken part in the EDS ECHO programs for both adults and pediatrics.
Dr. Hannah is currently the only licensed McTimoney chiropractor in the US.
In her free time Dr. Hannah enjoys road trips and spending quality time with her Texan husband and their three cats. After living together in the UK for many years, they made the huge decision to relocate to San Antonio in early 2024 and are now busy building their lives here, enjoying all the wonderful things Texas has to offer.
Currently, Dr. Hannah is only in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Rae Torrence, D.C.
Rae Torrence is a Doctor in Training at Taproot. Her journey into chiropractic care began through her own experience as a competitive volleyball athlete. After dealing with a recurring injury that limited her ability to perform at the level she was used to, she saw firsthand how much pain and dysfunction can impact not just performance, but everyday life. That experience sparked her passion for helping others recover, move better, and stay active.
Rae earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from McNeese State University, where she developed a strong foundation in movement, performance, and overall wellness. Her clinical training includes dry needling, dynamic biomechanical taping, and functional rehabilitation for both the upper and lower extremities. She is currently working toward her Webster Technique certification and is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Rae enjoys working with active individuals, athletes, and those dealing with everyday aches or chronic pain who are ready to take control of their health. Her approach is hands-on and movement-focused, combining chiropractic care with targeted rehabilitation and practical strategies so patients not only get relief, but also improve performance, build resilience, and stay active long-term.
Rae is currently training under Dr. Angie as she continues to refine her clinical skills and serve the Bulverde community.
Outside of the clinic, Rae is a dog mom of two and enjoys nature walks, dog training, and staying active through weight training and mobility work. As a Louisiana native, she also values spending time with family and friends back home whenever she has the opportunity.
